If you’ve ever dreamed of combining delicious food with a stunning tropical backdrop, the Gourmet Getaway at The Cliff Hotel in Negril, Jamaica is exactly what you need. Trust me, we’ve been there before (and have a blog post to prove it!), so we know this place is an absolute gem. Now, they’re offering something extra special, and we can’t wait to dive into it!

From May 22nd to May 26th, 2025, the hotel will be hosting a five-day culinary celebration, and the lineup of chefs is what dreams are made of (well, at least mine). Think Cindy Hutson, Jonhoi Reid, and Delius Shirley, along with special guests like Michelin Star Chef Jeremy Ford and Chef Dean James Max. I mean, if these names don’t make your taste buds tingle, what will? 

Here’s what we’re most looking forward to (besides, of course, the food coma that’s coming our way):

• Cooking with the Pros: Getting to learn from these incredible chefs is honestly a dream come true. We’re ready to pick up some culinary tips that will have us feeling like the next Food Network star (fingers crossed for no kitchen disasters)!
• Rum Tasting: Yes, please. You know we love a good cocktail, and starting things off with a welcome cocktail party and a rum tasting? Count us in.
• A Poolside BBQ: We’re definitely not mad about this one. Add in live entertainment and a few cocktails, and we’re in paradise.
• Wellness Time (Because Balance): After all the indulging, we’ll put try our hardest to be healthy with some morning wellness activities and a rejuvenating 60-minute spa treatment. Namaste, anyone?

And that’s just the start. The Zest Restaurant at The Cliff is already serving up some of the best food we’ve ever tasted, combining local Jamaican flavors with international flair. It is a total foodie dream come true. 

Beyond the resort, Negril has plenty of local dining spots to explore: Just Natural for seafood lovers or Pewee’s Restaurant for that authentic island experience. But honestly, with the food at The Cliff, we’re not planning to leave the property at all… but, you know, we’ll keep our options open. This is one trip we’re counting down the days for.
